ABS

ABS

ABS stands for Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene. The history of this material dates back to the 1940’s, when chemists at BASF in Germany and Monsanto in the USA were working on developing new polymers. In the early 1950’s, ABS was successfully developed and the manufacture of sheets commenced.

ABS quickly became popular for interior components in vehicles and for many various consumer items such as toys.

ABS is available in sheets only, in either Black or White , textured (haircell) or gloss up to 6 mm in thickness.
